Our first gear drive benefits OWLS Lacrosse
OWLS (Outreach With Lacrosse & Schools) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization dedicated to starting transformative lacrosse programs for low-income inner-city schools and community-based organizations in Chicago. OWLS has a dynamic, sustainable approach to sport development for at-risk urban youth based on:
-Academics
-Sport Development
-Enrichment
In order to achieve transformational success we provide our student-athletes with quality lacrosse instruction, team-building enrichment activities, nutrition education, enrichment programming, academic outreach, mentoring, and exposure/access support to top-tier high schools and universities.
The Chicago Schools and Communities We Serve:
99.4% of students at our school sites identify as Black/Hispanic/Multi-Racial.
90% of our students live in low-income households.
25% of residents within neighborhoods we serve do not have a high school diploma.
